Orphaned non-free media (Image:PiKappaAlphaFlag.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:PiKappaAlphaFlag.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:02, 30 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please restore history for Travel CUTS

You deleted Travel CUTS as an expired prod. Another editor has created a new article about Travel CUTS, and I expanded it a bit and added references. It would be helpful if the pre-deletion history of the article could be restored as there may be some material there that ought to be added to the current article. --Eastmain (talk) 03:09, 3 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Delition of Mario Barth

Hi! You deleted an article about him in february. I don't know its exact content, but he is notable without any doubt. Mario Barth has been the most successful German comedian for years, even setting a new world record when he performed in front of 70.000 people (source; picture #13 shows him with the official certificate), so please reconsider your decision. Best regards, --Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 16:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC) [reply]

I'm sorry if the article was about the tattoo artist of the same name as he might be not notable. By the way, here is an article in English language about the comedian. --Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 16:44, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, according to the deletion review's log, it was the tattoo artist. --Axolotl Nr.733 (talk) 11:34, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! You deleted this article in February. Please note, however, Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Mandalorian. That and other articles were merged and supposed to be redirected per the GFDL. Please undelete and redirect. Thanks! --Happy editing! Sincerely, Le Grand Roi des CitrouillesTally-ho! 01:45, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There's no reason for this to be protected.

Magazine articles:

This should be enough to count as notable, even before you consider they'll shortly be performing at Dragon Con (Dragon Con on Wikipedia).

A tag has been placed on List of Lambda Sigma Upsilon chapters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for biographies.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Flowanda | Talk 00:31, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

AAU reminder notice

A friendly reminder from the Adopt-a-User project =)
Hey there Jmlk17! This is a friendly reminder to update your status at Wikipedia:Adopt-a-User/Adoptee's Area/Adopters whenever it is appropriate in order to provide new users with the most up-to-date information on available adopters. Also please note that we will be removing adopters who have not edited in 60 days. If you become active again (and we hope you do!) please feel free to re-add yourself. Cheers!

I wanted to redirect "Ibn Bazzaz" to Ebn Bazzaz, and I realized that Ibn Bazzaz is salted (it had been speedy deleted 3 times based on A7). Please unlock it. I assume that the page you deleted had not cited Encyclopedia Iranica, but anyway, it doesn't make much sense to use A7 for speedy deletion of a page relating to someone who lived in 14th century AD. reserves to production ratio

Hi- I saw a red link for this topic, searched around and found other references to it, made a page, but then when I clicked on the original link to add it I saw that you had deleted an earlier page because of DicDef. Please take a look at my sandbox and let me know if you think there is any value to restoring it. I don't want to add a page that will just be deleted again, but I think it is more than a dictionary definition. Thanks. Deletion of article about Clickatell

I see that the reason of deletion of article about Clickatell is that it is "non-notable company". Just how is it non-notable??? Anyone who ever developed an application using SMSes is likely to know them or work with them. Millions of people (or rather, hundreds of millions) every day use applications based on Clickatell's infrastructure.

A minimal background check before deleting won't harm. Galilite (talk) 01:07, 2 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Unprotection of Beyond Protocol

Hello. Beyond Protocol was deleted and then protected back in March. It is a page for a video game, an MMORTS which is a rare genre to begin with, and this one is very different from any of the rest. The game is now live and has quite the following. I would appreciate the chance to write a proper entry for it. Please do not confuse this with Beyond protocol, which was only deleted... Thanks MMORTSLover (talk) 14:11, 11 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of page

As per the page log you deleted a page listed below.

11:21, 1 February 2008 Jmlk17 (Talk | contribs) deleted "Pawan Rubber Products" ‎ (CSD A7 (Corp): Article about a company that doesn't assert significance)

If the entry for the above company is deleted, shouldn't the pages of the other companies listed (Kaymont and Totex) in the entry below be deleted too. If not, the page for Pawan Rubber Products should be allowed , if only to maintain consistency.

You ever coming back?

Hey old friend. I have to admit that with the length of time you have been away from us now, I'm starting to get a little bit concerned that you have decided to ditch us for good. I mean, com'on... at least ONE of my co-noms for AfD has to stay around to work on the project. You are gone, Riana's gone and now AGK's gone. Trusilver 09:46, 29 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was wondering the same thing, Jmlk17. If you're not around, who can I gloat at when we win the cup again? - Rjd0060 (talk) 16:05, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Per a request at WP:RFPP, I have recreated Potions in Harry Potter as a redirect to Magical objects in Harry Potter#Potions. This seemed too logical of a request to ignore or decline. Seeing as how you salted the page earlier this week, I thought it best to give you a heads up. caknuck ° is a silly pudding 06:04, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

unprotect Gamma Beta

I was hoping to get Gamma Beta unprotected. Could you please inform what need to be done? The fraternity was founded in 2000 at the University of Texas at Austin. After years of closed door policy to expansion, the fraternity opened it doors to expansion in 2007 and has now expanded to 4 other universities.

Would like to be an addition to the wikiproject: Fraternity and Sorority. Hawee (talk) 09:25, 16 February 2009 (UTC) [reply]

Deletion of St. Ives (record label) page

Hello, My name is Will, I am an intern at the Secretly Canadian/Jagjaguwar/Dead Oceans/St. Ives record labels in Bloomington, Indiana. St. Ives is a smaller imprint of Secretly Canadian that specializes in limited edition vinyl releases. Recently we published a Wikipedia page for the St. Ives record label. Soon after, it was deleted. We received [1] and were told that it did not have significance as a company. Jmlk17 was listed as the user who deleted it. Here 2 is the copy of the page deleted. Here 3 is the section of SC Distribution (who also distributes Secretly Canadian, Jagjaguwar, Dead Oceans, FatCat, Western Vinyl, etc.) of our current stock. This 4 is the link to our new official blog. I guess the question is, what more else needs to be said/shown in order to prove an established significance as a company so that we may keep our St. Ives wiki page live? Thanks for your time. Peace, Will —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wsquar3d (talkcontribs) 19:22, 27 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Your assistance please...

The record shows you deleted Abdul Ghaffar (Chemist).

Could you please direct me to where the possible deletion of this article was discussed?

Thanks! Geo Swan (talk) 15:01, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see I already asked you about this deletion on 2008/05/07. You told me someone had tagged it with WP:A7. You offered to userify it for me. And I asked you to userify it to User:Geo Swan/review/Abdul Ghaffar (Chemist). But I don't see any record that it was userified. You have a pretty busy talk page. My request must have got lost in the shuffle.
I would still appreciate that userification now. Because I have wikistalkers, who have first cut articles I worked on down to insignificance, and then nominated for speedy deletion, due to A7, or no content. So, I'd like to check the full revision history, if you don't mind, to see who tagged it. Can you userify the full revision history, and talk page?
Thanks Geo Swan (talk) 16:54, 29 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please be advised that I have recently conducted a review of the Rorschach test (formerly Rorschach inkblot test) talk page and archives. At some point, you have commented on the issue of the display and/or placement of the Rorschach inkblot image. Based on my understanding of your comment(s), I have placed you into one of three categories. I am issuing this note so that you can review how I have placed you, and to signal if this is an appropriate placement and/or to make known your current thoughts on this matter. You may either participate in discussion at the article talk page or leave a note at my talk page; but to keep things in one place, you should also clarify at Talk:Rorschach test/2009 consensus review/addendum. Longer statements may be made here or quick clarifications/affirmations based on several pre-written statements can be made here. Best regards, –xenotalk 14:56, 1 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 • Further to the above, we would appreciate if you could briefly take the time to place yourself below one of the suggested statements here. If none of these statements represents your current position, please compose your own or simply sign "Not applicable" under "Other quick clarifications". Likewise sign as N/A if you do not want to participate further in this debate. If you choose not to respond then you will likely not be counted with respect to further consensus-determining efforts. –xenotalk 15:02, 16 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of article "Joshua Estrin"

Hi,

Back in Feb of 2008, you deleted the article "Joshua Estrin". Can you please tell me why this was deleted? Was it because of notability? Or because no references were given?

Thanks, Cdpritcha76

Hello,

I would like to bring up an old subject (Template:Flphoto) that appears quite clear to me, but apparently gave some concern to you and a few other editors in 2007 who decided to delete this template/authorization. I tried to communicate with the lead editor, but he/she appears to be on sabbatical from Wikipedia. Since you appear to have made several contributions to the discussion I now come and hope you would entertain my request for reconsideration.

My concern is that Florida State law[5] clearly transfers title to images donated to the Archives with the Archives, not the donor. The Archives are then commanded by law to make the images available to the public, with the only restriction being attribution to the Archives. Would you, now having access to the authorizing law, feel free to reconsider your earlier position to broadly eliminate Archive images from Wikipedia? Archives policy[6] then comes from the authorizing statute. Thanks! --Sirberus (talk) 22:27, 11 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Splinters Theatre of Spectacle extended information

You deleted this I think in error. Judging by the number of people who tried to stop you, and speaking for the number of people who were part of Splinters while it lasted, I think you have made a bad mistake. The main point being, as others mentioned, it was both a great start into the world of culture for many people, resulted in spinoffs including a ripoff of one of their big ideas for the opening of the Sydney Olympics, and was a notorious part of Canberra's and Australia's alternative gtheatre scene for many years.

I hope you come back soon and reinstate the page.

yours

Frank
