W

Shouldn't this have "Kamen Rider W" somewhere on it? Some might even argue this is the actual title, but... The T (talk) 15:22, 30 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I can't really see much reason to mention it, now that the official websites by both Toei and TV-Asahi obviously transliterate it to Double and not W. Wikipedia's toku area has always gone by official spellings, even for such esoteric items as Orphnoch. I guess we could note that W was the assumed name before Double was announced, but that's original research without a legitimate media citation, which would be hard to find among fansites. And pointing out the giant W in the logo seems trivial; we don't point out how the kanji in Blade's logo is shaped like a spade. Besides, people will be able to see that for themselves when the show starts airing and we put a picture of the logo up. I think the only thing we can really point out is that the henshin belt looks like a W, but that will be easier to do once more info for the series starts flooding in and we can actually make a small section about the belt and other weaponry; right now, when all of that only has a single sentence in the article, it too seems like overkill. Considering that the sites write the title as "仮面ライダーW（ダブル）" ("Kamen Rider W (Double)"), one would think it's pretty obvious that the name is "Kamen Rider W", and "Double"/"Daburu" is simply how you pronounce it. One would think. 79.136.75.48 (talk) 17:21, 7 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Chikyu no Kioku = Gaia Memory???

New Magazine stuff

With these pix coming so soon, we should get the Kamen Rider Double (character) page started.

CycloneJoker (サイクロンジョーカー, Saikuron Jōkā): Default form to appear in the Decade movie. Achieved with the Joker Memory (ジョーカーメモリ, Jōkā Memori) and Cyclone Memory (サイクロンメモリ, Saikuron Memori).
HeatJoker (ヒートョーカー, Hīto Jōkā): Form achieved with the Metal Memory (メタルメモリ, Metaru Memori) and Heat Memory (ヒートガメモリ, Hīto Memori). Uses the Metal Shaft (メタルシャフト, Metaru Shafuto) as a weapon.

Revol Carry (リボルキャリー, Riboru Kyarī): Double's base of operations that serves in allowing his bike to swapped out components with different configurations: Machine Hardboiler, Machine Hardturbuler(Heat), and Machine Hardsplasher(Luna).

Gaia Memories: Items used with the Double Driver (ダブルドライバー, Daburu Doraibā) to enable Double to assume any nine form combinations depending the two Gaia Memories used.
- Joker Memory (ジョーカーメモリ, Jōkā Memori) and Cyclone Memory (サイクロンメモリ, Saikuron Memori): Usually used to assume Double's default Cyclone Joker (サイクロンジョーカー, Saikuron Jōkā) form.
- Luna Memory (ルナメモリ, Runa Memori) and Trigger Memory (トリガーメモリ, Torigā Memori): Usually used to assume Double's Luna Trigger (ルナトリガー, Runa Torigā) form.
- Metal Memory (メタルメモリ, Metaru Memori) and Heat Memory (ヒートガメモリ, Hīto Memori): Usually used to assume Double's Heat Metal (ヒートメタル, Hīto Metaru) form.

Weapons
- Metal Shaft (メタルシャフト, Metaru Shafuto): Weapon used when Double assumes a ????-Metal form.
- Trigger Magnum (トリガーマグナム, Torigā Magunamu): Weapon used when Double assumes a ????-Trigger form.

Memory Gadgets (メモリガジェット, Memori Gajietto): Items powered by the Gaia Memories that serve like the Disc Animals from Hibiki.

- Spider Shock (スパイダーショック, Supaidā Shokku)

Character info

Other then new info on the main cast, the Dopants are revealed to be humans who assume the monsterous forms through Gaia Memories.

Akiko Narumi (鳴海亜樹子, Narumi Akiko): Shotaro's boss at the Narumi Detective Agency, coming from Osaka to continue in her father's place after he mysteriouly dissappeared. She has a black and white view of the world and tends to say "I'm not listening!" (私聞いてない, Watashi, kiitenai) alot.
Watcherman (ウォッチャマン, Wotchaman): Shotaro's informant for info, his real name's a mystery.
Mikio Jinno (刃野幹夫, Jinno Mikio): A detective working on the Dopant case, Shotaro's childhood friend whom he discusses the case with while unaware his relation to Double.
Shun Makura (真倉俊, Makura Shun): Mikio's rookie partner, characterized to be naïve of Shotaro's skills and a pleasant guy.
Ryubee Sonozaki (園咲琉兵衛, Sonozaki Ryūbee): Head of the Sonozaki Family, he uses a museum as a front for his illegal activities with Dopants.
Saeko Sonozaki (園咲冴子, Sonozaki Saeko): The oldest daughter. The owner of an IT company she just set up.
Wakana Sonozaki (園咲若菜, Sonozaki Wakana): The youngest daughter. A college student, she runs her own radio show.
Kirihiko Sudo (須藤霧彦, Sudō Kirihiko): The frontman of Ryuube, he sets up the selling of Gaia Memories to any criminal.

This the only Rider series (maybe an exception would be Super-1's bike english words, but eh) whose official English translation in the logo/title card IS NOT "Masked Rider". This is not a forum, so don't be offensive. I've noticed that also. But then, it seems like English-speakers are "trying to put" the word "Kamen" in their dictionary. Therefore, they want to use the word "Kamen" instead of "Masked". I didn't meant to be offensive, I was just saying. Quick Off-Topic, Kamen was used in Dragon Knight to avoid confusion with Saban's Masked Rider, and Wang's own hatred to the term "Masked Rider" used.
