Laneast is a small village near Launceston, in Cornwall, England,United Kingdom.[1]
It is the birthplace of John Couch Adams, mathematician and astronomer who discovered Neptune. In a field opposite the church is the holy 'Jordan Well' used for divination, and until comparatively recently, for baptism.
