Untitled

Move Along is the second album by The All-American Rejects, released on July 12, 2005. A deluxe edition was also released in iTunes. The album was certified 2x Platinum in the U.S. (2,000,000 units) on June 6, 2008[1] by the RIAA, and was also certified Platinum in Canada (100,000 units) by the CRIA. It was on the Billboard 200 for 97 weeks, and debuted at #6 on the chart which would be its peak position. In UK the album charted below Top 75 for a week in July 2005, peaking at #138[2], before re-entering the chart in February 2005 for further weeks below Top 75. In July 2005, following the success of "Dirty Little Secret" making Top 20 the album finally charted inside the official UK Top 75, as it entered at its #45 peak position[3].

Production and release

With Move Along, Tyson Ritter and Nick Wheeler spent 10 months writing at their homes in Destin, Florida. The first two tracks on the album, “Dirty Little Secret” and “Stab My Back”, were finished right before they went to Atlanta in October 2004 to finish the other ten tracks with the rest of the band.

A day before U.S. version was released, the UK version of Move Along was released on July 11, 2005. It features two bonus tracks not available on the U.S. version. Also on the iTunes Store a deluxe edition of the album was released featuring five live tracks recorded at the Wiltern Theater at LA, California.

Two B-sides of Move Along, "Kiss Yourself Goodbye" and "Eyelash Wishes", were not made for the final cut of the album. The All-American Rejects, though, took the initiative to record these tracks and co-produced making them along with Mike Plotnikoff and Paul Decarli, the former recording the tracks on Move Along, and the latter was the ProTools editor for the album. Both tracks were featured on the "Move Along" CD single, and "Eyelash Wishes" became a bonus track on the UK version of Move Along.
