"3" is set to be the lead single by American pop singer Britney Spears' upcoming second greatest hits compilation,The Singles Collection. The single will be released to American radio on September 29, 2009. It was officially confirmed via Spears' official website on September 23.[1]

Background

The track was produced by Max Martin, who worked on her early hits including "...Baby One More Time", "Oops!...I Did It Again", "Stronger" and more recently on "If U Seek Amy".

Music Video

The music video will be shot on September 29th and 30th, and directed by David LaChapelle, who directed the music video for Everytime. It is rumored that the video will be release on Halloween.
