I'd have thought that an engineer who had designed a record-setting steam locomotive would be quite notable. Additionally he was a member of a remarkable family of engineers (see Wiki-links to relatives who also have pages). Maybe as an alternative to deletion, all the Stirling family members should be grouped into one page. Any offers to do that? The fundamental issue I have with historic biographies is that the snippets of information are widely distributed, often amongst many individuals, and take time to come together as a collaborative construction.
