Jonathan Fisher QC

Jonathan Fisher QC is a leading barrister based at 23 Essex Street Chambers in London specialising in fraud and financial crime cases.

He has been described by the Chambers and Partners Legal Directory as "extremely thoughtful and considered in the run-up to court but once in the heat of battle pulls no punches”. The Directory adds that “He is highly respected for his advisory work on money laundering, proceeds of crime, VAT fraud and taxation matters". The Legal 500 Directory has also recommended Jonathan Fisher as "meticulous in preparation, extremely responsive and hard-working - judges defer to his knowledge".

Since May 2005 Jonathan Fisher has been Chairman of Research for the Society of Conservative Lawyers ([1]). Normally the term of office runs for three years but he agreed to extend his tenure for an additional year in order to provide continuity until the forthcoming general election. Jonathan Fisher has been very active as Chairman of Research, writing an important pamphlet on Human Rights and Responsibilities and providing legal support to the Shadow Front Bench team on a variety of issues. Additionally, he has encouraged other members of the Society of Conservative Lawyers to write pamphlets and provide legal support for the Party. Jonathan Fisher is also a member of the Conservative Party's Bill of Rights Commission.
