The Jeff Dunham Show is a mockumentary-type television series starring standup comedian and ventriloquist Jeff Dunham, that premiered on the American cable television network Comedy Central on October 22, 2009. It features the characters that Dunham made famous in his previous Comedy Central standup appearances, such as Walter, Achmed the Dead Terrorist, Peanut, Bubba J and José Jalapeño on a Stick.[1]
The plots of the series includes premises such as Walter and Jeff visiting a licensed psychologist to save their relationship, Bubba J taking aim at a real rifle range, Peanut meeting Brooke Hogan and Achmed attempting to sign up new recruits at an actual job fair.[1]
The series is part of a multi-platform deal Dunham signed in March 2009 that includes further standup specials, DVDs, a consumer product partnership, and an upcoming tour.[1]
