I am new to Wikipedia, and tried to post a new entry for a company called Future Ads. It received a Speedy Deletion warning, and I wanted to see what I can do to rework the article to make it suitable for your / Wikipedia's guidelines. I thought it was all pretty neutral, and there were mentions of awards and positive claims about the company, but I feel they were all properly cited and referenced. I completely respect the Wikipedia rules, and would love some assistance with reworking this article. Many thanks!!

== Creech AFB ==

What is wrong with the sentence that I added? It wasn't POV (but I can see how the part about "perpetrating drone attacks" is). It didn't refer to protests, it referred to multiple organizations (linked to by that Nevada Desert Experience page, which served as a portal to other critical articles) that criticized the use of Predator and Reaper drones. I found it better to link to that one page than to add links to all the pages that the portal page linked to. I didn't even mention protests. Hello, welcome to my talk page!

If you want to leave a message, please do it at the bottom, as a new section, for better formatting. You can do that by simply pressing the plus sign (+) or "new section" on the top of this page. And don't forget to sign your messages with four tildes, like this: ~~~~

Attention: I prefer to keep discussions unfragmented. If you leave a comment for me here, I will most likely respond to it on this same page—my talk page—as an effort to keep the entire conversation in one place. By the same token, if I leave a comment on your talk page, please respond to it there. Remember, we can use our watchlist and topic subscriptions to keep track of when responses are made. At the same time, feel free to send an alert to me on this page about a comment you have left elsewhere.

Thank you!

Thank you for making WP:NODRAMA a success!

Thank you again for your support of the Great Wikipedia Dramaout. Preliminary states indicate that 129 new articles were created, 203 other articles were improved, and 183 images were uploaded. Additionally, 41 articles were nominated for DYK, of which at least 2 have already been promoted. There are currently also 8 articles up for GA status and 3 up for FA/FL status. Though the campaign is technically over, please continue to update the log page at WP:NODRAMA/L with any articles which you worked during the campaign, and also to note any that receive commendation, such as DYK, GA or FA status. You may find the following links helpful in nominating your work:

Willie King date of birth

Dear Chuckiesdad

There was some confusion when WIllie King died about his birth date. Having worked very closely with him during the last few years of his life, including having a copy of his birth certificate, the facts are that i) his birth certificate gives his date of birth as 25 March, 1943 and ii) he always celebrated his birthday on 18 March, saying he was born a few days earlier than his birth certificate stated.

I note that the New York Times reference now says Mr. King died at 65. My guess is that somehow "8" and "18" got confused and once the rumor started it was hard to stop.

Thank you for your work on this page - Willie was great musician and outstanding human being. --Rasherson (talk) 06:07, 26 July 2009 (UTC)—Preceding unsigned comment added by Rasherson (talkcontribs) 05:57, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Thanks for your insight on this, Rasherson. Why don't you post what you said here to the article Talk Page where others can see it? There's already a discussion there about the lack of evidence for his birth date, and I think this takes care of it. I'll add a reference in the article citing his birth certificate. Best regards, Chuckiesdad/Talk/Contribs 14:55, 26 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I've updated the Talk Page as you suggest. Your help is much appreciated. Rasherson (talk) 23:58, 28 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

McCumber Cube - Motivation subsection

I am a new user. Just wanted to understand why you deleted my section from the McCumber Cube page Thanks —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.189.232.113 (talkcontribs) 14:32, 26 September 2009

  • Thanks for contributing! That's a good question. The last line of the section you added was: Copyright © 2004 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR . Wikipedia guidelines don't allow the addition of copyrighted material without permission. I've moved the section to the article's talk page in case you want to pursue permissions from the copyright holder, or rework it, then add it back to the article. I should have done that initially. Regards, Chuckiesdad/Talk/Contribs 15:32, 26 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Thank you for explaining the reason. I reworded it and posted again. Please let me know, whether it looks alright. Thanks again for helping. Regards.

Hi Chuckiesdad,

I recently updated State Senator Shawn Mitchell's bio with accurate information and many references. He recently has come under fire regarding some remarks he made. It keeps getting removed from the bio by another user and being new here I don't understand if that is allowed or if I'm allowed to post the truth or what the story is. I do want it to stick. My goal is to make sure the truth about this man is on his bio. I've been trying to read about Wikipedia and their rules but I don't yet know how to communicate with the other user who is removing the entry. I did receive a warning and I don't want to jeopardize my membership in the Wikipedia community as I think it's a great tool for the truth.

Do you have any suggestions for me? Thanks for your help. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Eyeonyou (talkcontribs) 17:54, 26 September 2009 (UTC) [reply]

  • Hello Eyeonyou, welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for contributing. Once an edit to an article has been reverted (changed back) by another editor, it's time to discuss it on the article's Talk page rather than continuing to undo each other's changes. The goal is consensus, not edit warring. You can post to the article Talk page just like you posted here, and also to the other editor's Talk page inviting they join the discussion. You can see other editors on the article's Revision History page. If that fails, you can go to the New Contributor's Help Page and post a request for assistance from a neutral editor. There's a button there called Click Here to Ask Your Question. You can also post the issue on your own talk page with the {{helpme}} tag, which will attract another editor offering assistance and advice. Happy editing! Hello chuckiesdad...my old account, onsetcloud, was not controlled by me at the times it made those edits. can you please reset my strike count or something? The pages my friends edited, including Trobone Trouble were not intended by me to be vandalized, and i really didnt want to start a new account. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Cloudonset!
