KTRS-FM is a Top 40 (CHR) radio station in Casper, Wyoming branded as 104.7 Kiss FM owned by GapWest Broadcasting. KTRS is a former Clear Channel station and will keep its current format and KISS-FM brand. As with almost every local FM station in and around Casper, the broadcasting tower is located south of town on Casper Mountain.
Station History
KTRS was formerly on 95.5 FM from its sign on date in the 1980s to the late 1990s. KTRS, when it was on 95.5, was mostly a hard rock format. In the late 90s moved it to 104.7 FM after being sold by Heart Media to Mountain States Broadcasting. For short time in the late 80s after moving to 104.7 FM the station used the call letters KYOD before the FCC granted transfer of the KTRS call letters from its location at 95.5 FM.
