Purfleet is a railway station located in Purfleet, Thurrock, Essex in the East of England. It is situated just north of London Road, and a level crossing is provided for traffic. The station was opened in 1854 as part of the London, Tilbury and Southend Railway and is located 15.98 mi (25.72 km) down the line from London Fenchurch Street. Passenger train services are provided by c2c.

Services

Purfleet station is served solely by London, Tilbury and Southend Line trains heading inbound to Fenchurch Street in central London and outbound to Shoeburyness in eastern Essex. Inbound trains operate about every 30 minutes during off-peak hours and supplemented with trains running up to fifteen minutes apart during peak hours.[2] Inbound trains take 32 minutes to reach London at an average of 30.0 mph (48.3 km/h) calling at all stations to London.[2] On Sundays, trains run hourly from Purfleet hourly to Grays and Barking.

Outbound trains operate at 30-minute intervals during off-peak hours with supplementary service during peak hours, terminating at Grays, Pitsea, or Southend Central. Trains take six minutes to arrive at Grays at an average of 38.5 mph (62.0 km/h), 27 minutes to arrive at Pitsea at 36.6 mph (58.9 km/h), and 46 minutes to arrive at 33.4 mph (53.8 km/h).[2]
