Avery Brooks is an American actor with movie and tv-appearances since the 1980s (Uncle Tom's Cabin, [[American History X, Spenser), born in 1948 in Indiana. He is always dedicated to the issues around afro-americans and recently plays Shakespeare. Brooks is perhaps best known for the leading role on Benjamin Sisko on the science-fiction television series Star Trek:Deep Space Nine.
