The Hand of Frog is a nickname given to a goal set up by Thierry Henry in the France-Ireland World Cup qualification game on November 18, 2009. [1][2][3][4][5]

The goal, in extra time, qualified France for the 2010 World Cup.[6].

Henry admitted after the game that he had handballed, but asserted that it was up to the referee to decide the outcome of the match.[2][6][1][4]

The incident has been compared to Maradona's infamous "Hand of God" goal in the 1986 World Cup, which led to the nickname.[1][2][5][7]
