Invasion of the Body Squeezers was the only two-part Goosebumps: Series 2000. The obvious inspiration for these books were the various film versions of Invasion of the Body Snatchers.
Part 1
The first novel was mostly set-up, as it dealt with UFO enthusiast Jack dealing with his creepy neighbor Mr. Fleshman and a small meteorite that he found. At the end of the novel, the meteorite hatched, and an alien emerged. Jack knew that he had to do something, so he tried killing the egg. After several attempts, it finally died. Then he finds one of the aliens which are full grown. The alien looks green with black eyes and a lipless mouth. .
Part 2
The second book has Jack attempting to stop the invasion of huge green aliens. The aliens absorb humans by hugging them and taking over their bodies, and are able to spread to others (hence the title). One by one, all of Jack's friends, teachers, and finally his family are taken over by the invaders, and Jack finds himself all alone. At the end, Mr. Fleshman (who convinced Jack that he was a government agent) reveals himself to be the leader of the aliens and attempts to hug Jack. Jack goes into Mr. Fleshman's body, however, and in the process kills Mr. Fleshman and all of the aliens, saving the town. However, his sister Billie - who was ill and escaped possession - reveals that she has encountered a new species of blue aliens.
Revenge of the Body Squeezers
A Give Yourself Goosebumps book called Revenge of the Body Squeezers was later released, and had the player's character help out Jack in a second invasion of aliens. Jack starts off by encountering aliens with guns which could squeeze humans into tennis balls and were also armed with vomit which had cement like properties. Jack had to work out clues to find a way to stop these aliens from detonating a bomb which could squeeze all the people into a tennis ball. Various endings included being trapped inside the vomit, unconsciousness when the bomb went off at the rose parade, and if all of the choices were correct, saving the day by driving the bomb (disguised as a float) away .
Movie Adaptions
All three books have been made into a movie. But the plot and characters are completely different. The only thing the same is the design of the aliens. And the end of part two and the beginning of part three.
