Avient Aviation is a freight charter airline based in Zimbabwe. It was established in 1993 and operates scheduled services between Europe (Hub in Liège airport) and Africa and UAE, as well as charters.

Loss of MD-11 at Shanghai-Pu Dong Airport (PVG) (China)

On 28 November 2009, an Avient Aviation MD-11, Registration:Z-BAV,C/n 48408, crashed on take-off from Shanghai Pudong International Airport on a flight to Bishkek-Manas International Airport, Kyrgyzstan with the loss of 3 lives. The plane was written-off.
