Thanks

Yea, thank you for doing that. Once you write those overviews, you don't want to have to go back and fix all that crap. And also, I don't add a lot of games because it distracts from the writing, and most of the times the articles don't actually exist. So again, thanks.

Also, the game came out January 20, 2002. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.139.178.8 (talkcontribs) 23:31, February 17, 2006 (UTC)

When?

When did this game come out? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 198.82.57.118 (talkcontribs) 22:15, February 16, 2006 (UTC)

Grammar Nazism

Yes, I was the one who edited the spelling/grammar errors, and ai added some links as well. Unfortuantly, I can't add more about the missions because I haven't played the game in what, 2 years?

Kudos though, good stuff so far

Mission Overviews

Hey, if you don't know, I am the one writing all of the mission overviews. So far, I have created the entire mission overview for mission 1, 2 ,and the first part of 3. That's a lot of information typed up there, so I wanted to make everyone aware that I will occasionally be checking in and making more. Writing up plot summaries takes a bit of time, and even though the updates are few and far between, I will still be writing the overviews. So don't worry about "completing the section" because I will get around to doing it eventually.

I would also like to thank some people for correcting a few of my spelling mistakes and to be constantly watching out for my other mistakes. Sometimes I say "you" instead of Powell, and that obviously breaks the style in which I am writing in. Also, sometimes I forget to link to other subjects, so if you see something that you feel should be linked, please feel free to make a link. And if I have left out a detail you feel is important, please don't hesitate to add it.

Spoler warnings

Shouldn't we put up a spoiler warning? --Cronosquall 07:34, 24 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Spoiler for what section?

Breakthrough and Spearhead

I've been on Gamespy alot, for many games, and I check their download section regularly. I downloaded the Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault Breakthrough demo and the Medal Of Honor: Allied Assault Spearhead demo. I've alwasy lived knowing that they were demos for the Allied Assault game. Am I wrong?

picture to weapon relation

I though that it would be kool if we could put a 1 after every weapon which would link to the Image:____ file of that weapon, since some links (ex.: smoke grenade, doesnt show a clear image of what it looks in the game. So the reader would still have the link to the article of that weapon, but still have a second link to the picture of that weapon in the game. If you want, i can work on that paat 00:59, 11 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Noxos/Naxos Name change

Someone change the 'Noxos' misprint for Mission 2 to 'Naxos', and link it to the Naxos_Radar_Detector article. I'd do it myself, but I really haven't a clue how

EDIT: Sorry, my mistake, I found out how to do it :S

It's grammar nazis like me that did the grammar/speeling (sic)

Speeling and Grammor (sic)

Hello, Grammar Nazi here again. You need to slow down and check your spelling and grammar before you post, I was cringing at the mistakes and there were a few parts that didn't make sense. I've corrected them, but please, slow down!

I've also added a few Wikipedia links as some people may want to know what the King Tiger was capable of (clue: not much) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.69.122.229 (talkcontribs) 15:43, February 17, 2006 (UTC)

Taking out Mission Overviews

I realized someone took out the mission overviews that I was writing, which I wasn't exactly HAPPY about, since it took a long time to write, but for whoever did it, please discuss it here. I was planning on my next update to move it to it's own separate page, so please DISCUSS it here before deleting stuff. I was able to grab the overviews off of a previous version in the article history, but please notify us to talk about it first.

I'll write a separate article containing the storyline, and link to it from the page, so expect that to be up sometime later. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.139.178.8 (talkcontribs) 00:33, March 11, 2006 (UTC)

I was rather disappointed myself as well. I spent ages correcting those errors (¬_¬) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 62.69.122.229 (talkcontribs) 11:38, March 12, 2006 (UTC)
Don't worry, I reverted to an earlier version and copied them to a Word document, you work is saved as well. :-) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 69.139.178.8 (talkcontribs) 07:59, March 13, 2006 (UTC)
I wasn't the one who deleted the mission overviews; User:Some guy beat me to it, but I support his decision. While you did a good job summarizing the events in the missions, that kind of detail is best left to a fansite, not Wikipedia. This is an encylopedia, so conciseness is key (right upthere with accuracy). The mission overviews were, as User:Some guy said in the dit summary, a waste of space.
However, I cannot defend his decision to delete the section without at least a note on the talk page. For that he'll have to answer for himself. — EagleOne\Talk 03:07, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Yea, same here, he was right about my overviews taking up too much space, but he should've made a not about it here.
I thought the edit summary was sufficient. It explains the problem and rules. Some guy 03:18, 21 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I wonder what I will do with all those mission summaries. :-/ Maybe a fansite. But for now, I'll add a tiny section about missions, I won't write a huge plot analysis but I'll put something in there. This is a game article, but it really doesn't talk much about the content of the game. So I'll write something there later. Thanks all for understanding my argument. :-) Matt Neuteboom 02:04, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV in Overview section

I just deleted the folllowing text from "Overview":

MOH: Allied Assault is often considered to be the best of the MOH series. Following the more lackluster Medal of Honor: Underground, and is also followed by the next MOH computer game, Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault. MOH: AA is often considered the pinnacle of the series due to its ingenious use of the the Quake III engine, as well as its superiority of more lackluster sequels that would follow, another high point being it's supurb multiplayer functions.

This twice uses "is often considered", a weaselly phrase that couches POV in a somewhat neutral tone. There's also some blatant POV in the use of words such as "ingenious" and "supurb". And how is it that using the Q3 engine is "ingenious", anyway? As I recall, many games from that period, roughly 1999-2002, use the Q3 engine for graphics rendering. What makes MOHAA special in that regard? — EagleOne\Talk 03:33, 15 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I support your decision, it does not support a neutral POV and it's not really an important part of the article. Thanks for spotting that. 69.139.178.8 01:57, 17 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Online Cheating

Someone should add a section about the rampart cheating in mohaa's online mode; It would be a good warning for people who are not ones that enjoy a gaming experience filled with wallhackers.

Yes I do agree, the article needs some type of information about its multiplayer mode, ie. running servers, clans, cheating problems, etc. Nuclearmound 03:05, 15 July 2006 (UTC)Nuclearmound[reply]

I removed the Multiplayer section. The information in the section was mostly original research and was not relevant to MOHAA in particular, being universal issues with online gaming. A proper multiplayer section would cover developer support and game modes. If you want to add that in (and MOHAA isn't really extensive beyond Deathmatch), feel free to do so. --Scottie theNerd 17:29, 7 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Map

On the site for the film The Falls, there was this comment:

==The Falls MOH:AA MAP== "The Falls" is also the name of a popular custom made map for the popular first person shooter computer game Medal of Honor: Allied Assault developed by 2015 Inc and EA games.

There was no mention here, so I removed from there. It needs more context here if worth mentioning. -- Beardo 07:32, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Better high definition screenshots?

We need those to replace the screenshots in-game that uses low-definition graphics, for some might think that those are actually the full capacity graphics that the game can pull off. But I cannot provide 'cause my PC is also old and cannot create a high-def screenshot. So would anyone do it? Pathbinder 11:19, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I will send in a few photos of MOHAA if you want, I have an old PC that can play at smooth at the highest settings. - Alex921225

Uh sure, but why send it to me? Why not upload it to Wikipedia?Pathbinder 07:28, 11 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
