Homeopath is a homeopathic practitioner.

Homeopaths are usually graduates from certain homeopathic schools or colleges. Some people consider a homeopath should only be a MD to have the responsibility to treat deseases. This is a large argued subject. Also according to Hahnemman himself, who was the creator of homeopathy was a MD. However most schools in homeopathy treat and regard all students, i.e. doctors and non-doctors, as equal. In some countries it is needed for a non-doctor homeopath to complete courses in common medicine before practicing. There are also (in India mostly) educational systems which give the possibility to have a medical title in homeopathy which literary means the education consists in homeopathic study plus common medicine disciplines.

Some homeopathic organisations tend to organize themselves around the separation between doctor or non-doctor.
