Slam, Bam Birthday Bash

Slam, Bam Birthday Bash is an episode of the animated series Pucca.

Plot

It’s Pucca's Birthday and she’s out doing her daily deliveries in Sooga. Each person she encounters wishes her a happy birthday. At the Goh-Rong, all of her friends are putting their decorations up for Pucca's Surprise Birthday. The three Master Chefs (Uncle Dumpling, Ho and Linguini) are discussing that they don't have enough time to finish everything before Pucca arrives. Then they come to a conclusion that they should use Garu as a general distraction(due to the fact Pucca loves him) before the time of the party.

He’s in the corner helping blowing up balloons, when they push him out of the door. After being wished 'good luck' and getting laughed at by the Hai Tais (the stone lion guards of the Goh-Rong) he sets off to find her.

Meanwhile, Pucca is still making her deliveries and on her way to the Goh-Rong Restaurant. She dreams of her entering the restaurant, then her friends and the rest of the townspeople pop out of gift boxes. Her Uncle Dumpling and Linguini greet her a happy birthday and somehow points to Ho, who shows her a little tent. She enters, and first sees a bowl of delicious noodles by the three chefs on a navy blue pillow, then zooms out to find four more pillows surrounding it, and Garu lying on the leftmost pillow. Garu is lying on his side with his hand holding up his head and having a dreamy look on his face. He later approaches her, still wearing that same look, then the dream cloud disappears. She giggles and hurries to the Goh-Rong.

But Pucca who expected all of her friends to be there already appears right in front of Garu. He runs away trying to get away from her kiss. But she thinks about her party again. Garu then tries to block the door of the Goh-Rong but he gets pushed away. He panics. Everyone preparing for the party is hiding, and Pucca who tries to find them, but fails to find any of them. Disappointed, she thinks of her best friend Ching and races to her house, thinking she will have a present. Garu follows Pucca.

At Chings house, Chings dad, Chang, is swimming in the bathtub with Turtle. Chang is about to tell Pucca where Ching is, when Garu covers his mouth with a toilet plunger. He whistles and walks away.

Pucca then goes to Abyo's house and finds Police Man Bruce who is Abyo's dad. Garu follows again. He also is about to tell Pucca where Abyo is when Garu covers his mouth with a toilet plunger. He whistles and looks inconspicuous, again.

Pucca is now really angry that she can't tell where her friends are, and stomps on the ground and runs away. Destroying the house and showing Policeman Bruce sitting on the toilet.

They then arrive at Tobe's house, she breaks down the door. She soon grows red and walks away, Garu walks to the door feeling bad for Pucca, with a worried expression on his face and sees Tobe. Tobe tries to get his ninjas to attack and Garu runs to the open, accidentally drawing out his toilet plunger instead of a sword.

When Tobe gives out his threat, he and his ninjas relise they're in their underwear, and run away. Pucca begins to cry because she feels like her friends forgot her birthday and Garu feels bad, tentatively reaching to comfort her. But on his approach she runs away. When he finds her she’s on a high cliff, and crying a waterfall (literally) of tears.

He looks at his watch and its time for the party, which is at midnight. But Pucca continues to cry and won't let him near her. He thinks of kissing her and turns green and almost throws up.

Nervously, he sends her a blow kiss and Pucca's sadness falls away and chases Garu. He runs and Pucca is running close behind him, trying to kiss him. When he gets to the Goh-Rong the three Master Chefs are in the kitchen and tell him to hide in a box. Pucca runs inside to find her surprise birthday. Pucca is now really happy when all her friends appear and wish her happy birthday.

The three Master Chefs then present her with a giant present. She unwraps it to find Garu cowering inside. She laughs and it ends with her kissing, hugging and cuddling him, while the Digital People circle Pucca and Garu.

Notes

• in some countries they cut out few scenes in this episode. One was the Hai Tais laughing at him and a brick comes out from one of them. Second was when Garu uses the toilet plunger at Chang and Bruce and Pucca stomps on the ground destroying the police station with Bruce sitting on the toilet.
