Gratuitous use of Chinese in Vietnamese language

Please note that Vietnamese no longer uses Chinese characters. Any use of Chinese characters in the article must be in context of this fact. If you mark every Vietnamese term with these characters, readers will be under the false impression that Vietnamese still uses these characters. DHN (talk) 19:11, 13 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I don't see how this is bad. Korean nowadays scarcely uses Hanja as well, yet all Korean-related pages have Hanja in them. There is no ill in adding tiny pieces of additional information. And no, adding Chinese characters do not incline to the reader that Vietnamese still uses them, because any sane reader would read the LEDE first when coming across an article. -- 李博杰 | —Talk contribs email 02:28, 14 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
