The Farm at RHS

At Riverhouse students help run the school farm, on the farm students look after Pigs, Chickens, Rabbits, Quails and other small animals.

Topics and ICT at RHS

Topics already covered in ICT this year include using Audacity software for editing sounds recorded from the internet or using the Zoom H2 Handy Recorder.

In their ICT lessons students at RHS will be studying on how to use the Internet and that some sites can be more reliable that others, websites may have bias or inaccurate information.

One of the next topics that will be covered in ICT at RHS will be Geocaching . Geocaching is a high-tech treasure hunting game played throughout the world by adventure seekers equipped with GPS devices. The basic idea is to locate hidden containers, called geocaches, outdoors and then share your experiences online. Geocaching is enjoyed by people from all age groups, with a strong sense of community and support for the environment[2]. We will be setting up a geocache close to the school. The nearest geocache is at the Aqueduct near Bearley called Aqueduct One[3]
