Before it lost its sixth form (years 12 and 13) to the Moorlands Sixth Form College it was known as '''Cheadle Grammar School'''.
It was formed by the merging of Cheadle Grammar School and Mackenzie Secondary Modern in around 1973. Although it originally had a sixth form it longer does. There is now a sixth form college called Moorlands Sixth Form, which is on the original Grammar school site.

Cheadle High School is a state secondary school located in Cheadle, Staffordshire in the Midlands area of England. It has about 700 pupils ranging from Year 7 to 11. The head teacher is Mr. K. Hollins. It exited Special Measures on 29 February 2008.

It was formed by the merging of Cheadle Grammar School and Mackenzie Secondary Modern in around 1973. Although it originally had a sixth form it longer does. There is now a sixth form college called Moorlands Sixth Form, which is on the original Grammar school site.
