Metrolink Queensland is the operator of the Brisbane City Council's ferry network since 1996. It has since been operating catamaran and monohull ferries between the University of Queensland St Lucia campus and Hamilton via the Brisbane central business district.

The QR bus rail service between Helidon (later Brisbane) and Toowoomba in the 80s and 90s was also known as Metrolink. This was extended to other bus services associated with QR.
