Citra is an unincorporated community in Marion County, Florida. It is the home of the pineapple orange.[1] The town has two buildings on the National Register of Historic Places: The Citra Methodist Episcopal Church and the Armstrong House.

The community is part of the Ocala Metropolitan Statistical Area.

Popular tenor James Melton grew up in Citra.

Citra is also home to the Orange Shop, a favorite stop for citrus, honey, candies, and souvenirs.
