::Please AGF. What to de do with that specific case, should it be "of Tourism", or "of Regional Development"? Personally I think the first has a longer tradition, while the second is much more important in the government scheme, so I wouldn't know to choose that "single denominator".Anonimu (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC) |

:I for one agree with the merge. I chose this venue because I knew that many Romanian editors (and not only) had this watchlisted from the old days ( WProj Romania was not on my watchlist until now, probably it's the same with other Romanian editors).Anonimu (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC) |

Romanian Ministries
In the last 20 years the names and structure of Romania's government ministries changed with every new cabinet. Is there any established way to keep WP up date, yet not remove important info when changes like joining tourism and regional development occur (i.e. every 2-4 years)?Anonimu (talk) 16:07, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Trying not to encourage the political pamphlet that seems to be in the making inside any more or less serious post, let me note that there is indeed a problem of nomenclature. If it were after me (and, alas, it ain't), I would simply reduce the name to the smallest single denominator - "of Tourism", "of [National] Defense", "of Education", "of whatnot", discussing all "full names" and name changes in the body of articles instead of spinning the articles around every time the gvt gets creative. Given that there's a couple of users who seem to be interested only in preserving that decorum, this is bound to be a controversial proposal, but at least give it some thought.
- And oh: whatever you do to the names and how they impact on the articles, this is, by all accounts, grotesque. Dahn (talk) 16:19, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- Please AGF. What to de do with that specific case, should it be "of Tourism", or "of Regional Development"? Personally I think the first has a longer tradition, while the second is much more important in the government scheme, so I wouldn't know to choose that "single denominator".Anonimu (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
Err, do you guys mind taking this discussion to WT:WikiProject Romania. This page hasn't been active in over a year (and it's talk page for two). I've also delinked it from the WikiProject because it competes with its talk page. The archives should probably be merged/moved over there à la WT:MED. Pcap ping 16:45, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
- I for one agree with the merge. I chose this venue because I knew that many Romanian editors (and not only) had this watchlisted from the old days ( WProj Romania was not on my watchlist until now, probably it's the same with other Romanian editors).Anonimu (talk) 16:51, 23 December 2009 (UTC)
