As far as I am aware no P2 device currently available or planned supports putting anything other than DVCPRO 25/50/100 on the card, although the hi-def DVCPRO "100" will not actually be 100 in this circumstance if you're shooting with an HVX at something other than 60fps. |

Once you have mounted the card with the correct drivers there's nothing stopping you from using it as a big, fast, expensive flash card, though. |

Should we talk about the specific P2 MXF implementation here? It's a bit, uh, idiosyncratic, to say the least. That sort of discussion would take it outside the realm of simply the storage media, but I think P2 would be better described as a system rather than separately as a storage medium and software. |

Shouldn't this page be moved to "P2" or something? As far as I know, you can save video standards other than DVCPRO on that card, and the official name is "P2", not "DVCPRO P2", right? Peter S. 17:52, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
