Re: My Math Question

Hello Dr Dec. Thank you very much for your reply. It is just what I was looking for. Have a happy new year. --Mayfare (talk) 18:38, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and the same to you :o) ~~ Dr Dec (Talk) ~~ 18:39, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Symmetric matrix

Hallo! I wish to talk a bit about the article symmetric matrices, of which you are one main contributor. Recently you put an "inline citations needed" tag. In fact, adding some more quotations should be really well done. So, when you have time, will you be more explicit and pinpoint each place that needs a citation? I've also some hints; let's work this out. Thanks! Cheers, --pma (talk) 13:16, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not really the man for this. I don't have any books on linear algebra or matrix theory and so can't give any explicit references. What I do know is that the article doesn't have a single in-line citation. For example, there is a references subsection which cites a text. The article doesn't use in-line citation to tell us where this text is used. I haven't read this text so have no idea what it contains. I was hoping that someone could come along and leave a few in-line citations here and there to back up what's written in the article. All the best and happy new year! ~~ Dr Dec (Talk) ~~ 23:02, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I'll look for some references sometimes. A happy and great new year to you too! --pma (talk) 11:34, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Viacheslav V. Nikulin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication that this meets WP:PROF

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. RadioFan (talk) 14:28, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have already improved the article to address the issues raised: I have added verifiable third party confirmation that the subject of the article is worthy of inclusion per criterion 5 of WP:PROF. Even before then, an admin denied your PROD and removed the template[1]. To be honest, if PROD failed then CSD has no chance. I now consider this matter closed. I will continue to update the article as and when time permits. ~~ Dr Dec (Talk) ~~ 15:50, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
