There are many rumours concerning the new Test Drive, most of which are extra interesting by artwork and possible screenshots of a testbuild of TDU, to try out the new features. Neither screenshots and artwork nor the rumours have been confirmed. |
|||
The rumours about the storyline suggest the player went bankrupt after Test Drive Unlimited took place. Playing the new Test Drive, the player has to get back to the top of the racingscene. |

There is artwork which shows cars will get more features. This artwork comes as a collection of icons showing the player will be able to activate wipers, turn signals and hazardlights, choose of more drivingsettings and even open and close convertible roofs. There is also a screenshot focussing 3 times below eachother on the face of a character. The character sits in an open-top SLK55 AMG (TDU had a closed SLK), the gauges on the screen, for the player, show an additional fuelgauge, which indicates the player will have to eventually refuel the car. |
|||
Artwork and screenshots of the environments show both new as modified locations and buildings. It is thought that the new Test Drive will take place on an improved version of the TDU Oahu island, as well as a second, fictional island. The islands would have new scenery and also offroad paths. These may indicate TDU2 will also get offroad vehicles such as SUV's and special dirtbuggies. |
|||
Artwork of buildings and several screenshots taken ingame show rainfall and night-illumination for buildingwindows, which indicate there might come a dynamic weather system, and a day-night cycle. There is concept-art showing a driving school and several other new buildings, and there is a screenshot of a modified Aston Martin dealership. The DB9 on the screenshot has its frontwheels steered towards the viewer, something which was not possible in Test Drive Unlimited. |
|||
Among the many artwork images with icons, possibly for ingame use, are also icons with new types of races. |

Rumours
There are many rumours concerning the new Test Drive, most of which are extra interesting by artwork and possible screenshots of a testbuild of TDU, to try out the new features. Neither screenshots and artwork nor the rumours have been confirmed.
Among the many artwork images with icons, possibly for ingame use, are also icons with new types of races.
