The Lebanese passport is issued to citizens of Lebanon for international travel. The passport is written in two languages in the cover page by French and Arabic and written by Arabic, French and English from the inside.

The Al- akhbar lebanese newspaper issue number 1000 on 18-december-2009 an article concerning the lebanese passport , stated that the minister of interior is studing the best conditions in order to announce a Lebanese Biometric Passport international tender ,knowing that the lebanese politicians decided to head toward the French companies and technologies especially that the old passports were issued buy the french national print ( imprimerie nationale ) which demnostrated a great trust from the Lebanese Goverment for the privacy of the data and issuing process, lebanese citizens still waiting for the official announcement of the tender which will problably will be announced in january 2010 while the process of issuing Biometric passports will start in Mid 2010 or early 2011.
