Richard Wordsworth (19 January 1915 – 21 November 1993) was a British character actor. He was the great-great-grandson of the poet William Wordsworth. Wordsworth was born in Halesowen, Worcestershire, England and passed away in Kendal, Westmorland, England.
His film career began with a series of appearances in Hammer films, including The Quatermass Xperiment (1955), The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958) and The Curse of the Werewolf (1961). He continued acting on TV until he was in his 70s, with credits including The Tripods, Chocky's Challenge and Campion.
During the 1978-79 school year, he was the artist-in-residence at Nazareth College of Rochester, Rochester, NY. During that time he played the role of Prospero in the school's production of The Tempest by William Shakespeare.
