7 Days is an Canadian thriller film directed by Daniel Grou[2] and starring Rémy Girard, Claude Legault and Fanny Mallette.[3] The screenplay was written by Patrick Senécal and based on his novel Les sept jours du talion.[4]
Synopsis
A doctor seeks revenge by kidnapping, torturing and killing the man who assassinated his little daughter.[5]
Plot
Bruno Hamel a thirty-eight-year-old surgeon who lives in Drummondville with his family, also his wife Sylvie and the couples eight-year-old daughter Jasmine. He leads an still life, until a incident when his daughter is raped and murdered. From now on, the world of the Hamel family collapses, when the murderer is busted, a terrible project germs in Bruno's obscures mind. He plans to gathering the 'murder' and will him pay for his crime. The day the murderer appears in judgement, Bruno who prepared his plan in great detail abducted the muder. He later sends to the police-chief a brief message, stating that the rapist and murderer of his daughter is going in tortured over 7 days and will then executed. Once this task is explaind, he will give himself up.
