Beatnik Turtle is a Chicago-based alternative pop/rock band that performs a variety of original tunes as well as the occasional cover. The band is made up of talent on vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drums, AND a signature horn section including: saxes, trumpets, and trombone. The latter might tempt one to label Beatnik Turtle a Ska band, but they will vehemently deny this. Their sound is often compared to They Might Be Giants, The Saw Doctors, Barenaked Ladies, Cracker, and CAKE.
