Victory is the upcoming fourth studio album by Miami based mixtape DJ and Terror Squad member, DJ Khaled. It is set to be released on March 2, 2010.[1] under the We The Best Music imprint of E1 Records.[2]
Background
Khaled has been working on his fourth LP as executive of Def Jam South.[3] He stated the name Victory represents the struggle to get to a victory[4] and that he inspires people with his music.[3] The first single, "Fed Up", was released on October 28, 2009.[5] The second single has been confirmed to be titled "Put Your Hands Up", the single will be a follow-up to "Fed Up".[6]
Guests
He confirmed Usher and Drake as two guests on the album[4], fellow Florida artists such as Plies and Rick Ross are also confirmed to have appearances on the album.[2] Khaled has said that Young Jeezy will be featured on many songs and have a "major" role in the album.[4]. In an interview with OnSmash, Khaled confirmed that Akon, T-Pain, Red Rum, John Legend, Bun B, Styles P, Birdman, Soulja Boy, Trick Daddy, Busta Rhymes and Pitbull would all appear on the album.[7] Khaled also confirmed on the set of the "Fed Up" video that Nelly, Lil Boosie, Buju Banton, Diddy and Ace Hood have features on the album, he also has been talking to Kanye West about possible collaborations.[8] In the "DJ KHALED: Road To Victory" online video series, Khaled confirmed that he was in the process of working with various producers such as, Pharell,[9] Cool & Dre,[10] and DJ Nasty.[11] He also stated throughout the series that he also had worked with, or is in the process of recording with Jim Jones,[12] Ludacris,[13] and Snoop Dogg[14] In episode eleven, Khaled confirmed rappers, Lil Wayne, and Nas, are also featured on the album. Khaled confirmed production from The Runners.[4] Khaled also confirmed production from The Inkredibles, Drumma Boy and Schife.[7]
Singles
It has yet been given a release date. Also, the first three singles feature Rick Ross, and the first two feature Young Jeezy.
- Fed Up was the first single released.
- The second single "Put Your Hands Up" will be released on February 6, 2010.
- The third single will be All I Do Is Win.
