Dan Sultan (b. 1983) is an Australian singer. He plays what he calls rock'n'roll and is often called world music.[1]

Sultan was born in 1983[2] and grew up in Melbourne. His father was Irish and his mother was Aboriginal from the Arrernte and Gurindji people.[3]

With Scott Wilson he has released an album called Homemade Biscuits with the help of John Butler’s Seed program.[3] Sultan won the Single Release of The Year at the 2007 Deadly Awards for his song "Your Love is Like a Song".[4]

His second album, Get Out While You Can, was released in November 2009.

Sultan is a member of The Black Arm Band and is appearing in the 2010 film adaptation of Bran Nue Dae.[5]
