Dan Ilic (born 20 November 1981) is an Australian comedian, and filmmaker.

An accomplished filmmaker, broadcaster, comedian, and journalist Dan has had a varied career spanning television, radio and new media.

Dan is Executive Producer of online entertainment production house Downwind Media. The viral video production company’s profile skyrocketed after Dan wrote and directed a clip satirising Tourism Australia’s So where the bloody hell are you? campaign in 2006.[1],[2] Ever since then Dan has written, directed and performed in a number of highly successful viral video campaigns for progressive lobby group GetUp!, including clips satirising Fuel Watch, Climate Clever and a hugely popular sketch where he played Australian Guantanamo Bay detainee David Hicks on MTV Cribs. A sketch he wrote after meeting Maj.Michael Mori on a flight from LA to Sydney.[3]

In 2008 Dan moved to Melbourne to direct The Mansion, a 13 part satirical news program hosted by Michael Chamberlin and Charlie Pickering for The Comedy Channel on Foxtel [4]
