Notability

This player has been named to WHL's First team all Star. Hence qualifies under the [standards]. Source 2008 WHL Western Conference First team All-Star.P|^|C (talk) 12:39, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I won't argue it since he is likely to be a pro soon. But so you are aware, WP:ATHLETE overrides [Notability standards] as those standards are our projects ideal whereas WP:ATHLETE is the overall wiki standard. -Djsasso (talk) 13:58, 8 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I was under the presumption that WP:Ice Hockey notability standards would have encompassed WP:N standards. Thanks for the insight. Anyways as long as we follow one of these standards, I guess there shouldn't be any issues.P|^|C (talk) 07:37, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
The project finds that the WP:N standards are too loose in most cases so we made more stringent ones that we suggest people follow. That being said this is one of the few cases where our standards are lesser then the over all ones. -Djsasso (talk) 16:50, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
