Solway is a suburb in the southern part of Masterton, a large town in the Wairarapa Valley. Solway is the second largest suburb in the town after Lansdowne.


Education

Solway is home to two primary schools: Hadlow prepatory school, and Solway primary school. It is also home to the well known Solway College, a fine secondary boarding school for girls. There is also the deceased Harley street primary school, which was closed down as part of the Wairarapa's education almalgamation plan. Masterton primary school is aslo close, located in the nearby suburb of Kuripuni.


Lifestyle

Solway is home to some of the newest and most modern homes in the Wairarapa. The recent buidling of Solway Park has attracted more residents to the suburb, with a huge lifestyle block full of up to date homes. Solway park is also home to the most expensive restarant and hotel in Masterton, The Copthorne.
