There are 43 episodes in total now (see the episode list), 12 each in seasons 1 & 2, 10 in season 3 and 9 in season 4, 12+12+10+9=43. The page is showing as only 40 episodes total which is wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.74.14.139 (talk) 12:56, 14 March 2010 (UTC)

:Part of the problem is that you are editing as an IP address and not a registered user. The other part of the problem is that you changed the number of episodes without a notation as to why in the edit summary. Another thing is that you provided no reference with the change. All of the above looks to me (and probably others) like possible vandalism of the article. It's a good idea - if you plan to stay a while editing in Wikipedia - to register yourself on WP with a username. When you do so, other editors will take you more seriously. Another good idea is for you to put something in the edit summary that briefly explains why you made the change/edit you did (or a brief synopsis of what the edit was). If you have a reference to include that states there were 43, not 40, episodes - it would be good to include that, too. Then, the info you change/provide is verifiable and will likely not be changed again or challenged. Thanks. --SkagitRiverQueen (talk) 04:15, 19 March 2010 (UTC)

Graphical Family Tree

FYI I uploaded a family tree created using Visio at http://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Big_love_familytree.jpg . I'm new to Wikipedia, rather than trying to edit the page thought I'd just alert the primary author of the page.

WikiProject Television: Start-Class and Low importance?

The WikiProject Television list this article as being a Start-Class article of Low Importance. This may have been true when the article was first started, but I suggest this should be updated. The article seems to be relatively well written with a lot of information about the show and several citations. The show itself is controversial [1] [2], noteworthy[3] [4], and entertaining[5]. Roman Grant deceased?

Roman Grant is a very tricky man, and we've thought him a goner at least twice before. Can we really call him deceased just because he was strangled at the end of the season finale? I think in the least, there should be a footnote noting that it's possible he's alive. --Crushti (talk) 15:08, 26 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Since there's no discussion, I'm removing that he is deceased. If you feel strongly enough that he should be counted as deceased, please discuss it. Also, I suspect that next week we will know whether he is deceased or not. --Crushti (talk) 04:43, 4 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Roman is now conclusively established as deceased, of course. End of that discussion! -Etoile (talk) 04:17, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Season 4

I removed the following text because it refers only to events in the Season 3 finale:

Big Love's new season will find Bill declaring the formation of his own church, Joey suffocating Roman to avenge his wife Kathy's death, Barb being excommunicated from the Mormon Church, and Nicki reuniting with daughter Cara Lynn.

I think it would be notable to mention in season 4 section is the change in the opening credits. What is the new song? --24.119.32.80 (talk) 23:50, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind. Didn't see it was in the overview. Maybe we could mention though something in the season 4 section about the opening credit change.--24.119.32.80 (talk) 23:52, 21 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Update Family Tree

Family tree needs to have the following added: Ted Price, Barb's brother-in-law (married to Cindy); Ned Johanssen, Barb's step-father (married to Nancy). I would do it, but don't know how to add people to this type of tree, so someone with knowledge of how this type of tree works here will have to give it a go. Thanks! --SkagitRiverQueen (talk) 19:28, 6 February 2010 (UTC) Additionally, Adaleen was "sealed" to "JJ" causing a need to amend the Tree. "JJ"'s parents, The Walkers, were introduced but I am not sure if there First Names were mentioned. If they were mentioned, they should be added[reply]

Agreed, and it would be nice to have an explanation of the colors as well! -Etoile (talk) 04:19, 18 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Nikki and Margene's children by Bill retain their mother's last name. This is the case when the children are not from the father and the civil, legal wife. This is also why Bill is a Henrickson as opposed to a Harlow, since Lois is not the legal wife when Bill is born (she is the legal wife now). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 77.127.168.166 (talk) 12:59, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I updated the family tree: made it more vertically oriented. The maximum width is fifty parameters, and we were hitting that. I also added a key. Hopefully those categories make sense. There's not a good way to have separate line types for "former plural marriage" and "former traditional marriage," so I figured just "former marriage" was enough. Also, I made the variable names for the relatives all 5 characters, because this makes it much easier to line up the chart parameters correctly. Does anyone know why the Joey/Wanda family boxes are colored green, or have thoughts about whether to keep them green? 76.24.22.233 (talk) 02:26, 2 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Number of episode

Why was the change to the number of episodes undone?

There are 43 episodes in total now (see the episode list), 12 each in seasons 1 & 2, 10 in season 3 and 9 in season 4, 12+12+10+9=43. The page is showing as only 40 episodes total which is wrong. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.74.14.139 (talk) 12:56, 14 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
