George Carteret, 1st Baron Carteret (1669? – 22 September 1695) was son of Sir Philip Carteret (died 1672) and the grandson of George Carteret. He married Lady Grace Granville (daughter of John Granville, 1st Earl of Bath and created Countess Granville in 1715), and by her was the father of John Carteret, 2nd Earl Granville. He was ennobled as Baron Carteret in 1681 in recognition of his grandfather's career.
