Founded in 1995 by Managing Director Richard Tang (left), Zen Internet was one of the first Internet Service Providers in the UK. The inspiration for Zen Internet came as Richard chatted to his brother over a drink in a pub. The pair agreed that the Internet was going to be a hit and from there Richard started the enterprise providing Internet access to schools and small businesses in the Rochdale area.

The company, which turned over £7.8 million in 2003, now provides a full range of services to Internet users from DSL broadband Internet access and hosting packages to Web site design and e-commerce solutions.
