I am trying to understand the recent work you did on the List of Presidential Medal of Freedom recipients. The names have been listed in alphabetical order, and I see you did some re-arranging, listing some by year they received the award. Were you planning to to the same with the entire List? -- Michael David (talk) 18:12, 10 April 2010 (UTC) |

:: Thanks for your response, Abdowiki. It does make more sense to list the persons by the year of their award since it is one of the Lists that is grouped by fields of expertise; unlike, say, The National Medal of Arts that is grouped by the year it was awarded. Great idea. Thanks for your good work. -- Michael David (talk) 21:53, 10 April 2010 (UTC) |

Not again!
The article you created about a blogger, Wael Abbas, has now been deleted five times because the subject is not notable. Furthermore, the article was being used to push a political viewpoint. Please do not recreate the article, or you risk being blocked from editing for disrupting Wikipedia. Moriori 02:54, 16 September 2007 (UTC)
The article that was created has a reference on Amnesty, CNN, Al-Jazeera News, youtube and other websites. It is supported by proofs and evidences. Everything in the world has political agendas and I have not created that article from out of the blue. My goal is to spread the most accurate information WITH REFERENCES to help making wikipedia the strongest and fairest source on the net. (Abdowiki 02:22, 18 September 2007 (UTC))
I've put up the article for deletion review at Wikipedia:Deletion review#Wael abbas. Andjam (talk) 03:36, 18 December 2007 (UTC)
Nobel icons
There is a discussion ongoing at Template talk:Nobel icon about removal of the Nobel icons from the infoboxes. The overwhelming majority in the discussion appear to favor removal of these icons. If you disagree, please weigh in on the discussion rather than simply reverting my edit. Also, please be sure to use edit summaries on your edits as it makes things easier on your fellow contributors. Thanks! --Clubjuggle T/C 20:50, 4 August 2008 (UTC)
August 2008
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as in Template talk:Nobel icon, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you. Also, please add new comment sections to the bottom of the talk page, not the top. If your comments relate to an existing section, please add them at the bottom of that section, rather than creating a new one. If you have any questions about Talk pages, please review the talk page guidelines or feel free to ask me. Thanks! Clubjuggle T/C 02:31, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
- Glad I could help. Regarding the Nobel icon, could you please hold off on adding them to pages until the discussion reaches a logical conclusion? Since the discussion seems to be going against adding them, doing so will only make later removal more difficult. Thanks, --Clubjuggle T/C 14:35, 5 August 2008 (UTC)
TfD nomination of Template:Nobel icon
Template:Nobel icon has been nominated for deletion. You are invited to comment on the discussion at the template's entry on the Templates for Deletion page. Thank you. Utternutter (talk) 21:41, 6 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Montreal police shooting and killing an 18 years old sparks riot
Please do not make personal attacks. Wikipedia has a strict policy against personal attacks. Attack pages and images are not tolerated by Wikipedia and are speedily deleted. Users who continue to create or repost such pages and images in violation of our biographies of living persons policy will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding hangon
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Speedy deletion of Abdel Moneim El Guindi
A tag has been placed on Abdel Moneim El Guindi requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

- Please do delete it, I made a spelling mistake. The right link would be found on Abdel Moneim El-Guindi (with a dash) sorry for the typo.Abdowiki (talk) 18:45, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Having your own page deleted
If you create a page, and before anyone else edits it you decide to have it deleted, like what seems to have happened with Abdel Moneim El Guindi, please put a db-self at the top of the page, in stead of blanking it. This will attract an administrator to it to have it deleted. Abdel Moneim El Guindi has already been deleted, or marked for deletion; next time, however, it could take a while before someone finds it to tag it or delete it. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 10:53, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
- I'd also like to point out that, in the case of a spelling mistake in the title, the page need not be deleted; you should instead use the move tool (next to "history" at the top of the page). Thanks! - Toon05 18:52, 13 August 2008 (UTC)
Speedy deletion of Top 100 Greatest Villains
A tag has been placed on Top 100 Greatest Villains requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.
If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Created as a reference?
Hey Abdowiki, I've removed the CSD tag from 100 Greatest Villains because this doesn't meet any CSD criteria, but I really don't think we should be pasting the contents of a third-party source in Wikipedia. Citing a third-party source is really all that's needed - you can still use the source. So, I think this article should probably still be marked for deletion, but I wanted to talk to you about it first. FlyingToaster 11:46, 19 February 2009 (UTC)
- Nevermind, the page has been deleted by someone else. FlyingToaster 11:47, 19 February 2009 (UTC)

- In addition to the "form letter", I just wanted to let you know that while simple lists of information are not copyrightable, lists compiled creatively are. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 16:07, 24 February 2009 (UTC)

Matthieu vs. Mathieu
"In Mathieu Chedid website himself, he writes his name with (one T) as in Mathieu not Matthieu" .... what website is that? On http://www.mistermystere.com/ it is spelled with two t's. Perhaps you would like to discuss it at the relevant talk page section: Talk:Mathieu_Chedid#Matthieu vs. Mathieu.Dlabtot (talk) 17:08, 3 April 2010 (UTC)
I actually have to agree with you. His previous website though, (qui de nous deux (album)) http://www.quidenousdeux.com he used to write it down with "one T". In all cases thanks for correcting it. But even in his albums that I buy and then I put them on iTunes, his name is written with only "one T" as in Mathieu Chedid. Of course that's not as accurate as his actual website. I have also done the same thing with Wikipedia French and changed it to Matthieu Chédid cause I speak both English/French. Best Regards Abdowiki (talk)
- It seems pretty clear that he spells it both ways and neither is exclusively correct. I originally thought one 'tee' was correct but after searching through sources I find there is no correct spelling. It was a lot easier just calling him -M- Dlabtot (talk) 01:28, 4 April 2010 (UTC)
So does that mean we should change everything (English/French Wikipedia) to Mathieu or Matthieu? That's a bit open ended problem. In some interview they write it Mathieu others Matthieu. I guess we should simply resolve this by calling -M- himself (bad joke). Abdowiki (talk)
