Biography

Maria Johanna Gabriela Josepha Antonia was the eleventh child of Francis I, Holy Roman Emperor (1708-1765) and Maria Theresa of Austria, Holy Roman Empress (1717-1780).

Life

Maria Johanna was born on 4 February 1750. She was the younger sister of Maria Carolina of Austria, Queen of Naples and Sicily as wife of the Bourbon King Ferdinand of Naples and Sicily; she was also the older sister of Marie Antoinette, wife of Louis XVI of France.
