JR Digs is a Canadian television personality that currently hosts "JR DIGS Man with a Van" (a latenight talkshow) that airs in Canada Saturday nights on Global TV and Sunday nights on E!. JR has been on the air since June 2001. Since then he has been the host of multiple series that have aired nationally on Global TV, E!(Formerly CHCH) MenTV and TVtropolis.
Since his fourth week on the air, JR Digs has had very good ratings[citation needed]. Originally, the JR DIGS show only aired on CHCH in Hamilton, Ontario, although in Spring 2003, Global TV began airing the show nationally before Saturday Night Live. In British Columbia and Ontario, the show aired on CH instead, after MADtv. After a brief cancellation in early 2005, the show was brought back to air in the fall of that year, but only on the four CH stations throughout Canada and mentv.

Be Real with JR DIGS and his Gemini Award Nomination
In the fall of 2006 "Be Real with JR DIGS" aired and ran for 13 episodes on TVTropolis. The series earned JR his very first Gemini Award nomination in the category of "Best Host in a Lifestyle Series"
JR DIGS Man with a Van
As of spring 2008, JR DIGS Man with a Van has been airing nationally Saturday nights on Global TV and Sunday nights on E! with such guests as Dane Cook and Canadian rock band Mobile.
JR DIGS Man with a Van follows JR Digs as he buys an old 1990 Ford Econoline van to drive out to Regina to the Gemini Awards for his nomination for Best Host in a Lifestyle Series. Unfortunately the van broke down on the way out there and he didn't end up winning his Gemini Nomination. But now with no budget, no crew and some JVC cameras, JR has found a use for this good old van by turning it into a talk show set on wheels. The van is a mobile studio that JR drives around Ontario and other parts of Canada, interviewing interesting (often bizarre) people and famous celebrities. He can just drive to meet the guest(s) wherever they happen to be.
Recurring segments
- Flapjack Calls - Similar to prank calls, except in this case, telemarketers phone JR hoping to sell him a product or service. Instead, JR turns the tables on them by assuming a different personality and attempting to keep them on the line as long as possible, asking irrelevant questions and pretending to misinterpret the responses given to him. Eventually, the telemarketers either realize they've been duped or lose their patience and hang up.
Move from Canadian to US Programming
It was revealed on February 20, 2010 by JR digs himself on his facebook: "Tonight's episode is just the beginning of the end which then becomes the beginning of things for me on latenight television in the US which is the end and all I should say about that until the beginning of April." Although still not confirmed rumors have been mass circulating that he would be premiering his own prime time show on NBC in replacement of the "The Jay Leno Show" at 10pm on weekdays. Also hints have been made that a deal may be in the works at NBC. <--- Come on JR. Stop editing wikipedia to increase your publicity.
