The Spider is a Maurer Sohne SC 2000 (spinning coaster), located at Lagoon amusement park in Farmington, Utah. Spider was installed at Lagoon in 2003; the spider had some minor problems on opening day and had to be closed, while new wheels were shipped in. Spider opened again one week later and has been operating smoothly since. Spider features ride vehicles that can hold up to four passengers facing opposite of each other. This gives the riders two points of view front and backwards but this does not matter for long. After the first drop, the cars are unlocked and start to spin and riders are then tossed into the rest of the crazy and twisted coaster!
