I Am Chipmunk is the debut album by British grime and R&B MC, Chipmunk released on 12 October 2009 by Columbia Records. It has produced four top 25 singles included three consecutive top-ten hits and one chart topper. The album was deemed a success after peaking at number two on the UK Albums Chart and reaching platinum sales of over 300,000 copies.[8]
In-line with its certification a new platinum edition of the album was released on May 3, 2010 featuring four new songs[9], including new single "Until You Were Gone" featuring Dutch singer-songwriter Esmee Denters.
Singles
"Chip Diddy Chip" was released as the first single on 16 January 2009. It soon peaked at number 25 on the UK singles chart. It was followed by the album's lead single "Diamond Rings" on July 6, 2009 which features Scottish R&B singer Emeli Sande which faired much better on the charts giving Chipmunk his first top-ten single having peaked at number six. The album's third single, "Oopsy Daisy" was released in October 2009 as the fourth single featuring some additional vocals from Dayo Oluntunji and went on to be the album's biggest single having topped the UK single's chart. The follow up single "Look for Me" was released a month later in November, 2009, featuring Talay Riley. It gave the MC his third consecutive top-ten single with a peak of seven.

The album charted #2 on the official UK Album Charts, beating rivals The Saturdays, Taio Cruz and Shakira to a top 5 entry.
