Ann Sexton, using her real name Mary Burton, was rediscovered in 2005, at a NY school where she worked as a paraprofessional. Due to inquiries about Sexton, German DJ and promoter Dan Dombrowe began serious negotiations and after a lengthy period, Sexton agreed to go on stage again after 30 years of absence. In March 2007, she made her first performance since the 1970s at the Baltic Soul Weekender (Germany). She performed again at the Baltic Soul Weekender (Germany) in April 2008 and wants to "return as long as she is living" (Ann Sexton).
