Song |
"Rockstar 101" is a song performed by Barbadian R&B singer Rihanna featuring guitar solo by Slash. It serves as the fourth US single from her fourth studio album Rated R. The song was performed on American Idol on April 7, 2010. It will officially impact both Mainstream and Rhythmic radio on June 1, 2010.
Music video
The Music Video premiered on VEVO on May 25, 2010. The director is Melina Matsoukas who also did Rihanna’s Hard and Rude Boy videos. The music video for Rockstar 101 is her second black-and-white video after her Wait Your Turn video and it features scenes when Rihanna is with horns, dressed up like Slash and others. Slash does not appear in the video. Towards the end of the video, Rihanna wears a hat like Slash wears, sun glasses and long curly hair.
