Stephen Griffiths (born 1969, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire) is a suspected serial killer and student from Bradford, who has been charged for the murders of at least three prostitutes in Bradford during 2009 and 2010.[1]

He was arrested on 24 May, 2010 and appeared in the magistrates court on the morning of 28 May 2010 giving his name as the "Crossbow Cannibal", a name used by some sections of the media in connection with the killings.[2][3] At a crown court appearance that afternoon he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, intended to be via a video link from prison, on 7 June, 2010.[2]

Griffiths, is reported to be a Leeds University psychology graduate undertaking postgraduate research in criminology at Bradford University.[2] During his teens, Griffiths was a pupil at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield.[4]
