Stephen Shaun[1] Griffiths (born 24 December 1969) is a student and suspected serial killer from Bradford, who has been charged with the murders of three prostitutes in Bradford during 2009 and 2010.[2] Griffiths was born in Dewsbury, West Yorkshire.
During his teens, Griffiths was a pupil at Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Wakefield.[3] He graduated from Leeds University in psychology and was undertaking postgraduate research in criminology at Bradford University.[4]
Template:Wikinewspar2 Griffiths was arrested on 24 May 2010 and appeared in the magistrates' court on the morning of 28 May 2010, giving his name as "The Crossbow Cannibal".[5][4][6] At a crown court appearance that afternoon he was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, intended to be via a video link from prison, on 7 June 2010.[4]
