The North Wales League is a new summer rugby league competition set up in 2010. It is a feeder competition for the Rugby League Conference.
It was set up by the Wales Rugby League in part due to increased interest in the sport based on Crusaders relocating to Wrexham FC's Racecourse Ground. There will be 4 teams for the initial season. These confirmed sides are 3 new sides: Conwy, Bangor (where there was already a university club) and Welshpool (the only rugby league club in mid Wales); and existing club Rhyl Exiles (formerly Rhyl Coasters). The league is expected to run on a home and away basis, albeit with some flexibility.[1].
