The Rt Rev John Richard Satterthwaite was Bishop of Fulham [1] then Gibraltar [2] in the last third of the 20th Century. He was born on 17 November 1925[3] and educated at the University of Leeds and The College of the Resurrection, Mirfield before embarking on an ecclesiastical career with curacies at St Barnabas, Carlisle and St Michael Paternoster Royal in the City of London, after which he was Vicar of St Dunstan-in-the-West before elevation to the Episcopate[4].
